Office Location: Schertz & Floresville

Dr. Phallon Doss is a leader in the field of audiology. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas Woman’s University, and received her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of North Texas. She has extensive experience in a wide range of audiologic procedures, including diagnostic hearing examinations, hearing aid selection and fitting, electrophysiology in the surgical setting, and cochlear implant programming. She is credited as performing the first cochlear implant activation in Schertz, TX.

Dr. Doss currently serves as the educational audiologist for the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District. She was recently named a San Antonio Business Journal 40 under 40 award winner.  Dr. Doss has also been featured numerous publications including "O" the Oprah Magazine, Fortune Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, San Antonio Woman Magazine, and San Antonio Magazine. In 2017, Dr. Doss received the honor of being named a Healthcare Hero by the San Antonio Business Journal and Doss Audiology was also selected as the Best Audiology Clinic in San Antonio by Senior Resource Guide.  Dr. Doss has taught distance learning Diagnostic and Pediatric Audiology for the University of Guyana in South America and also served as a guest lecturer for the University of North Texas in the area of Private Practice Audiology.  She is also a business consultant in the area of private practice audiology.  

Dr. Doss serves on the Executive Board of the Aid the Silent pediatric hearing foundation. She is also a highly sought after public speaker.  Dr. Doss has presented at the Texas Speech-Language Hearing convention and the Texas Music Educators Association conference to name a few.  

Dr. Doss maintains her Clinical Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She and her husband are natives of San Antonio and both grew up in military families. Dr. Doss has two children, Allysa and James III.

Melissa Neve, Au.D.

Melissa Neve, Au.D.

Office Location: Schertz

Dr. Melissa Neve graduated Magna Cum Laude from Utah State University received her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of North Texas in Denton.  Dr. Neve joins the practice with extensive experience in diagnostic audiologic testing and hearing aid fitting. While at UNT she worked in a wide variety of settings, including a children’s hospital, public school district, ENT, multiple private practices, and an auditory-verbal therapy practice.

Dr. Neve served as a teaching assistant at UNT for three years, which included lecturing responsibilities in both undergraduate and graduate courses. She is a member of the national American Academy of Audiology and served as the Secretary for the UNT Student Academy of Audiology.

Dr. Neve is a San Antonio native and is excited to join such a prominent audiology practice in the San Antonio area. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing the piano, and playing tennis.

Ashley Zamarripa, Au.D.

Ashley Zamarripa, Au.D.

Office Location: Floresville & Schertz

Dr. Ashley Zamarripa received her Doctor of Audiology degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Zamarripa joins the practice with experience in a wide variety of audiologic procedures, including diagnostic hearing testing, hearing aid selection and fitting, electrophysiology testing, and cochlear implant programming. While attending TTUHSC she worked at several ENT placements and multiple hospitals.  Dr. Zamarripa completed her clinical residency in audiology at the prestigious Mayo Clinic Health System in Minnesota.

Dr. Zamarripa worked as a research assistant at TTUHSC for four years and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.  She is a San Antonio native and is excited to join the Doss Audiology team. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and going on adventures with her two corgis.
