Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Phallon Doss is steadily becoming a leader in the field of audiology. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas Woman’s University, and received her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of North Texas. She has extensive experience in a wide range of audiologic procedures, including diagnostic hearing examinations, hearing aid selection and fitting, electrophysiology in the surgical setting, and cochlear implant programming. She is credited as performing the first cochlear implant activation in Schertz, TX.

Dr. Doss currently serves as the educational audiologist for the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District. She has also been featured in San Antonio Woman Magazine as a leader in senior healthcare and is the San Antonio Magazine 2016 and 2017 Face of Hearing Healthcare. In 2017, Dr. Doss received the honor of being named a Healthcare Hero by the San Antonio Business Journal.  Dr. Doss teaches distance learning Diagnostic and Pediatric Audiology for the University of Guyana in South America and also serves as a guest lecturer for the University of North Texas in the area of Private Practice Audiology.

Dr. Doss maintains her Clinical Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She and her husband are natives of San Antonio and both grew up in military families. Dr. Doss has two children, Allysa and James III.

Abby Holauchock, Au.D.

Dr. Abby Holauchock earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Psychology from Virginia Tech. She obtained her Doctor of Audiology degree from the George S. Osborne College of Audiology at Salus University near Philadelphia. Dr. Holauchock’s interest in healthcare and a family history of hearing loss inspired her to pursue a career in audiology. She has extensive experience in various clinical settings including private practice, ENT, and hospitals. Dr. Holauchock’s primary focus has
been in diagnostic hearing evaluations and hearing aid fittings.

Dr. Holauchock has served as a program committee volunteer for the American Academy of Audiology as well as an advisory council member for the American Board of Audiology.
She maintains her Board Certification from the American Board of Audiology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She and her husband are natives of Pennsylvania and recently relocated to San Antonio from northern Virginia. In her free time, Dr. Holauchock enjoys spending time with her husband Griffin and son, Shepard.

Melissa Neve, B.S.

Doctoral Extern

Melissa Neve graduated Magna Cum Laude from Utah State University and is currently completing her residency year of the Doctorate of Audiology program for the University of North Texas (UNT). Ms. Neve joins the practice with extensive experience in diagnostic audiologic testing and hearing aid fitting. While at UNT she worked in a wide variety of settings, including a children’s hospital, public school district, ENT, multiple private practices, and an auditory-verbal therapy practice.

Ms. Neve served as a teaching assistant at UNT for three years, which included lecturing responsibilities in both undergraduate and graduate courses. She is a member of the national American Academy of Audiology and served as the Secretary for the UNT Student Academy of Audiology.

Ms. Neve is a San Antonio native and is excited to join such a prominent audiology practice in the San Antonio area. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing the piano, and playing tennis.
